Make Money through Google Adsense by jerryjerk

This article was taken from the website http://makemoneyadsense.bravehost.com, visit it to know more info about google adsense

Hi Readers! Want to make money for free using Internet. This guide will take you into the steps of making money through google Adsense! Don't worry even if you don't have a website, or if your website has a very less traffic. Even if you don't know what Google Adsense and Adwords are! no problem, we will teach you all, and guide you to set a free website, and increase your site's traffic to get you paid a lumpsum amount.

What is Google Adsense and Adwords are? Well! Before that let me give a gist of what Google Adsense and Google Adwords are? (anyway we are going to see it in detail later in this guide) When you search some keywords in google, you must have seen the tag "Sponsors ADs" at the right corner followed by set of links relevant to your search (simillar to the normal search links). Also, In some websites you must have seen the set of Links relevant to that website's content with the tag "Google ADs". Ever wondered, who will give these ADs to google. It is the web owners of that particular ADs giving it, using Google's Ad program called Adwords, and Google displays those ADs in google page for any relevant search for that particular AD happens, or it will display those ADs to any other websites, which has relevant content of that AD's keywords. And Google will charge for each of the ADs being clicked by the visitor.

For example, If you give an AD to google Adwords with the keyword "insurance", then it will be displayed in the google search page, if any one searched with the keyword "insurance", and also google will display your ADs to any other websites, which is related to the keyword "insurance".

And Google Adsense is just the counter part of Google Adwords! It allows web owners and webmasters to display ADs relevant to their website's content, so that these ADs will tempt visitors to click on it. And the beautiful part is google will pay the webmaster when the ADs in their website are clicked by a visitor.

No need to be web designer or technical bee to create a website! Well I guess what's going on your mind! You may think this is not for me! I don't have money to host a website, nor I am a website designer. But please hold on! To make money using this guide, You should only have the attitude to make money! No website designing skill needed, no paid webhosting needed, Well I can tell you my case, I don't even know what FTP,XML or PHP are? I know a bit of HTML, but never used it, and I don't have a single paid webhosting, but still making more than 1500$ per month using google adsense, Amazing rite! You can also do this! What you need to do is just have patience and read this e-book fully, and have to apply all these techniques told!

Create free website and design it witout much hardwork! The first step for you is to create a website for free! For that you need a subdomain web name to promote your content. My choice of webhosting is bravenet. The advantage is, it is also enabled with FTP, you can also upload HTML, XML,JPEG,GIF,etc. files to create your own website with you own design, If you don't know HTML, It also has lots of readymade themes, which you can use by just typing your content in that theme. The attempts to link each page with main page, and having pictures in the websites, etc are taken care by the theme itself. Also it has many Adds-on features, like you can create a discussions, blogs, chats or polls. You can even place animated features into your website, without much efforts. You will get the website name as "http://www.yourname.bravehost.com".

Get great traffic by thinking small

Here is one method that you can use to get traffic to your web site. It relies on choosing some niche keywords based on your web site theme. The process is fairly simple and can be expanded to get tons of traffic to your site. Here is how.

It is often tempting to chase after popular themes and then select the major keyword as your target. However this is not a great move, well, not in the beginning anyway. You first have to build your credibility with the search engines before they will place you near the top.

The key is to choose a keyword phrase that people are using in the search engines such as Google but have very few web sites that cater to that keyword phrase. How do you find such valuable keyword phrases? Here's how!

If you use a software tool such as Good Keywords or the Google AdSense tool, it will return you many different keyword phrases. Look for specific phrases that look a bit odd. One of the ones that I look for are those that are book titles. Sometimes the words are jumbled but after you have gone through a few of them you will easily recognize them because initially they seem to make no sense. This is often because the words in the title of the book have been sorted into alphabetic order.

If you choose this phrase and set up a web page targeting that phrase, you can then produce a few paragraphs on the book based on reviews at any of the book sellers such as Amazon. You can then have affiliate links to the major booksellers and receive an affilaite commission from them.

I have used this technique to target books on Poker which have attracted traffic where I can offer either the book of their interest or to one of the gaming clubs or to my other web pages on Poker.

A book with a similar title is "Liar's poker: rising through the wreckage on wall street". The tools indicate that it was searched for in Overture (Yahoo) 12,043 in one month, so probably 120,000 in Google. Yet depending on how it is entered, Google shows that there ar only 997 sites that cater for that phrase. That's pretty good odds for you to get a high ranking in the search engines. You can then offer this traffic links to products and services related to the finance industry - a high paying industry.

If you can find other books related to this them, then you can aggregate the traffic through links to your home page. Eventually you will raise your page rank to aa fairly good level.

This is a method that you can refine on an ongoing basis to improve the natural search traffic to your web site.

Directories are very important for any website owner

In todays modern world of eCommerce and other online methods of both selling and business development. If you work internet marketing to your advantage, you have the potential to draw a substantial amount of traffic to your website and thus generate more sales for your products or services. If you are one of those people who are unsure about the power of internet marketing, then you should take some time to research and see exactly what happens when you work the program to your advantage.

Aside from drawing traffic to your site, internet marketing also provides the tools that you need to get your site listed with the search engines. Its essential that your site is include seo to allow it to receive the highest rankings from the major search engines, especially Google. Bearing in mind the reasons one would use internet marketing, the top five reasons for paying more attention to this type of advertising include the followings.

Directories are very important for any website owner. When submitting to a directory, the URLs are typically human reviewed for quality assurance. By getting accepted it means your site meets the directories guidelines and is a quality site. Some directories are more difficult to get into like Yahoo! or DMOZ. Yahoo! charges $299 for a directory inclusion, while submissions to DMOZ are subject to an editors' approval.

If developing a directory for your own site there are some important things to keep in mind. It must be search engine friendly so it may be indexed properly. Choose categories carefully so they are aimed at your market or the markets to which you wish to appeal. Also don't let categories go to deep. The more pages away from your homepage you get, the lower becomes the ranking of the directory pages. Make sure the directory is functional so other websites can easily add their URLs. An email notification is a good idea. An acceptance email will not only reassure the website owner but also help you to develop more relationships with other website owners.

Some directories focus on a particular niche, while others have categories for just about everything. An example of a targeted directory would be one that only accepts sites about search engine marketing or search engine optimization. Choosing a niche directory that relates to the keywords of the site will help bring more visibility to that particular directory as well as the links.

Many websites seek out directories they can submit to. On a daily basis a website owner will seek out several directories and add their site. This increases their number of inbound links, and well as increasing their visibility on the internet.

Tips for Submitting to Directories: - Include the most important keywords in the title.

- Submit your homepage. Directories will typically not accept extensions. It is good if your URL has your keywords in it.

- Write a good description free of grammatical errors. It will save time to write two descriptions, one long and one short, for different directories.

Tips for Directory Development: - Keep listing results small, to about 20 a page. More than that can be overwhelming and confusing to users seeking out information.

- Maintain and update your directory frequently. Search engines like to see a site updated regularly, and maintaining the directory will assure that all the links are still functional and that all the URLs still exist.

- Incorporate the look of your website into the directory. This will help users to associate the directory with your site.

Always keep in mind that you want to represent the best of your site in any listing. So whether you are submitting to the best directories or creating your own directory make sure you are providing the most accurate information and the best possible representation of your site.

Internet Marketing Strategies

It can draw more traffic to your website It has the ability to increase your websites ranking with the search engines. You can use it to zoom in on your target audience. Internet marketing can reach more people than any other advertising tool. It can open the door to international sales for your business.

Internet marketing allows the average businessperson to tap into the world of international trade without the huge expense of using newspapers and other types of periodicals to do so. While in the past, advertising was confused largely to local areas, the introduction of internet marketing has opened an entire new world for those involved in eCommerce and it continues to expand at an increasingly phenomenal rate. Whether your business is products or services, using internet marketing instead of direct advertising will make a huge difference in your profits.

When you look at the potential sales that internet marketing can create, it makes the classified advertisement seem technologically obsolete. For instance, even if you utilize online classified advertisements, how many people are really going to read that advertisement if you do not do some additional work in order to point web surfers in the direction of your ad? Thats the key to internet marketing, exposing your website to as many people as possible and doing that means making it highly visible.

That means you want to market your site so that you increase the number of visitors, because by the law of averages, the more people who visit your website, the better your chances are that a percentage of those visitors will buy what you have to sell. Search engine optimization, one of the most important tools of internet marketing, assures that your site will come up within the first few pages of a search, thus increasing the number of people who will go to your site rather than a competitors site for the same product or service.

"Optimize The Wrong Keywords And You'll Likely Never See PART II

We'll begin with the keyword "weight loss story"
You'll notice that the #1 ranked website for "weight loss story" is: (Side note: rankings can change in the search engines, so if this site is no longer ranked #1 when you view this yourself, chances are their competition simply has optimized their site better, and passed them up.) http://www.runwalkjog.com/weight_loss_success_story.htm which is not a top level webpage, meaning it's not simply http://www.runwalkjog.com/ This is good news for us because, typically, if a website's subpage is ranking well in Google, we have an immediate advantage if we choose to target the same keyword with our homepage (i.e. www.domain.com). For now, just take my word on this, as I will go into more detail why it's usually easier to rank well for your homepage than any other webpage on your website. You'll also notice that the website has a Google Page Rank of 5.
Note: Here's a quick definition of Page Rank. Page Rank is Google's way of giving a specific value to how popular your website is. It is based on the number of "votes" other websites cast for your website. A "vote" is simply when another website places a link on their website that is pointing to your website. Generally, the more "votes" or links you have pointing to your website, the higher your Page Rank (PR) will be. Page Rank is 1 of the many factors that Google takes into account when ranking websites.

In order to see your own Google Page Rank, as well as others, you must have the Google Toolbar installed on your computer. You can http://toolbar.google.com/
Seeing that the #1 ranked website for this keyword only has a Page Rank of 5 is also good news for us, because a Page Rank of 5 should be reasonable to obtain. Remember, the ONLY way to increase our website's Page Rank is by getting other websites to link to us. Later, I'll teach you the right way to get thousands of links pointing to your website in a matter of a few days... and I'll go into more detail about Page Rank.

View The Source Code
Next we need to view the source code of this website by clicking "view", then "source" within our web browser as shown below:
This will open up a text file for us to have a look at and see if this website is actually optimizing their "Onpage Optimization factors".

Note: There are 2 types of optimization, onpage and offpage optimization. We'll cover offpage
optimization in the following lessons.

As we view the source file from this website, we need to look for a few things.
  • Whether or not they are using "h1" header tags and are placing the keyword "weight loss story"
within those tags. In this case, they are not... AND they aren't even using "h1" header tags at all!
    Another great thing for us
  • "title" tags "title" of the website. In this case, they are, which is one of the main reasons they're currently ranked highly for "weight loss stories". There title is "Weight Loss story stories" and the html code they used is:"title" Weight Loss story stories "title" Whether or not they are using their main keyword in the "title" tags of the website. In this case, they are, which is one of the main reasons they're currently ranked highly for "weight loss stories". There title is "Weight Loss story stories" and the html code they used is: "title" Weight Loss story stories "title"
  • Whether or not they've bolded, underlined, or italicized the words "weight loss story" anywhere in the body of the webpage. In this case, yes... they have. They've actually bolded the keyword "weight loss stories" 4 different times throughout the webpage. At first glance, it looks as though this is another one of the major reasons they've managed to grab the top spot for this keyword. Bolding is something we can do right away, so now we know that we should also bold some of the keywords throughout our copy. Notice I said they've bolded "weight loss stories" 4 times, rather than "weight loss story" (singular). You should always look for both the plural and singular form of the keyword, as the search engines view them as "almost" the same word.
  • Whether or not they are using image tags and placing the keyword "weight loss stories" within that tag. In this case, that answer is easy because they're not even using any images at all! This is definitely something we can do when optimizing our website. And another thing we can do to "one-up" this #1 ranked website. It is best to add images that are actually named after our main keyword. For example, we could insert an image and call it weight-loss-stories-graphic1.jpg and soon.
  • The final thing we want to note is whether or not they've placed the keyword once at the very beginning of the copy, and once at the very end of the copy. In this case they have placed it near the beginning and also at the end. Not to worry, we can do this as well.
We should now know how to out optimize this #1 ranked website

... Atleast for all the onpage optimization factors that Google deems as important. The reason we know wecan out optimize them is because of the following things we've found out by analyzing their website:

  • The website is not using the keyword "weight loss stories" in an header tag.
  • The website did not use image tags containing the keyword "weight loss stories".
  • The website has a Page Rank of 5, which can be beaten. We can easily achieve a Page Rank of 5 or better. I'll show you the exact steps for this in the coming lessons.
  • The website is ranked with their subpage (weight_loss_success_story.htm). By optimizing our index page for this keyword, we can one up them.

Remember, the main idea behind ranking well on Google is to analyze the top ranked websites and then do those things that they're doing, BUT just a little better to one up them, which will lead to a better ranking.

We'll continue to go through the same process for the other 2 keywords we've found. It is best to analyze the top 5 ranking websites for each keyword. If the top 5 websites for a specific keyword have a Google Page Rank of 6 or higher, it's probably not best to shoot for that keyword until we build some momentum and get some initial traffic from the easier ranking keywords with less competition.

Earlier I mentioned that keyword research was very important in building traffic. Some other very good resources for building keywords and finding niche phrases include the following:

"Optimize The Wrong Keywords And You'll Likely Never See Result..."

If you're anything like I was when I first began online, you've probably created a brand new website. Then submitted it to a few search engines and hoped that people would mysteriously show up at your site and buy whatever it is you were selling.

After a couple of weeks go by and only a few stray people show up at your website, you decide to try and "optimize" your website around your main keyword in hopes that you just might rank well in 1 of the millions of search engines. Another couple of weeks go by and still no luck.

At this point you probably give up and decide to either build another website around a different target market or just lose all hope and quit. Well, news flash, as you've probably figured out by now, this is not the way to go about doing things.

Let me give you a specific example of what your very first steps MUST be when creating any
website... no matter what the subject matter.

In our example, let's create a weight loss related website. Before we start creating and collecting content for the website, we need to do a little keyword research. This is VERY important and should not be skipped. To do our keyword research we need to visit a few websites.

The first of which should be http://www.goodkeywords.com/.

They have a very good keyword tool, and best of all it's free! Once we've downloaded this software, we can enter the most generic keyword for our website into the software. In our example, our keyword would be "weight loss".

You'll notice that in the screenshot below, Good Keywords will return a list of related terms. The "count" column will then show us how many times the specific keyword has been searched for the previous month within the Overture.com search engine. Generally, you can multiply that number by 8, in order to estimate the number of times that keyword has been searched within Google for the previous month.

You'll notice that weight loss was searched 817,038 times during the previous month.

Do NOT start off by optimizing for the keyword "weight loss"

Why, you ask? If a keyword is searched that many times in Overture, then 100 times out of 100, the competition you will have to outrank will be extremely fierce. This is not something you should try to take on right away. For a brand new website, or one you're just beginning to optimize, it's better to select more specific keyword phrases. I'll talk about this a bit later.

Let's take a quick peek at Google so I can show you exactly how many websites are competeting for this keyword.
If you were to optimize your website for this keyword, you'd be competing against over 66 million other websites(web pages)! I don't know about you, but that's an aweful lofty goal to start with.

By the end of this course, you will be able to eventually target HUGE keywords such as "weight loss", but it's always best to start off on the keywords with less competition. Get some traffic with those keywords, and THEN you can focus on the larger keywords.

Ok, so back to finding which keywords we want to target.

If we scroll down, we can find some more specific keyword phrases like "weight loss story", "weight loss picture", "free weight loss plan", and "safe weight loss".

These could be possible keywords we should target to begin with. Once we have our list of 3 to 4 keywords, we need to go to Google and check out the competition to see exactly how hard it will be to optimize for the specified keyword.

Next round i will give you lesson how to analyse the competitor with "weight loss story" keyword.

Search Engine Optimation - Choosing Blog Fonts And Colors

Part of having a cohesive blog design is to choose one or two fonts and two to four colors and stick with them on your site. The best looking sites are minimalist in design. A site that has too many different types of fonts and colors on it just looks unprofessional.

It is also helps to choose colors that suit your subject areas. Cooler colors such as blues and grays tend to suit blogs that are of a technical, political or authoritative nature. Warmer colors seem to suit more casual subjects. For instance a pink and yellow themed site is more suited to a blog about baby showers than it is to a rant about human rights abuses in Africa.

In general the smaller and more classic your font is, the more it implies authority and respect. An example is Times New Roman or Bookman. Arial, Verdana and Helvetica are middle of the road fonts that are offered with most blog templates as a standard font. The shorter, squatter and larger the font, the less professional your blog will look.

Additionally it is best to stick with fonts that most people would have on their computers. Keep in mind that if a computer cannot read a font it will put your site on a default font so it can be read. This can knock your layout out of alignment and give it an unattractive appearance on other people’s computers. Fonts that any computer can read include Arial, Verdana, Times Roman, Times New Roman, Georgia, Palatino and Tahoma. Keep your layout as simple as possible to avoid distortion of it on other people’s computers as well.

One warning is to stay away from the black hat SEO technique of making your keywords the same color as a web page. The search engine spiders are on to this technique and will penalize your site for it.

Becoming a website designer

Are you looking to get into website design for the first time? This overview is really aimed at people who want to adopt this as a pastime or perhaps those of you who are looking to move your career in that direction. But this is a complex subject, right? Well yes it can be, but it is actually quite simple if you want to develop a straightforward website for personal use and you have no aspirations to try and sell your services in the future.

In my opinion, you shouldn't begin to think about starting out as a web designer unless you are reasonably technical or at least you have more than a passing interest in the Internet. My own interest started out because I am passionate about the Internet as a communication medium. One important thing it is worth flagging up from the outset is that web design can be addictive and don't even think about it if you don't have an understanding partner! It can become an all-consuming activity very quickly as you begin to master the technologies.

So what do you need to start out in web design? Well for sure you need a computer and Internet connection - your first tick in the box! Secondly, you need some software to 'code' your web design. For starters, you can get all sorts of freeware and shareware off the web and you can begin by searching for 'HTML Editors'. Don't worry about what this stands for, as it's irrelevant. You will need a HTML Editor to create the code for your website. As you move up the website learning curve, you will more than likely want to invest in commercial software such as Microsoft's FrontPage or something like Dreamweaver. "So that's all I need?" I hear you ask. Well, it would be handy to start out with a few reference books to get you started. Getting your first rung on the web design ladder is probably the hardest part and it can be quite frustrating in the early stages as you try and figure out the technicalities. However, there are masses of help on the Web, but I cannot recommend highly enough that you at least get a reference book like "Website Design for Dummies" to make things a little easier.

Most of the HTML Editors are WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), so this will make life so much easier for you. As your skills progress you will inevitably start to look at other people's web design techniques and study the code they have used to develop certain things that catch your eye as you browse the Web. At this point you will need to begin to understand how the code works and things will begin to get more complicated. In a matter of weeks you will be talking knowledgably about Tables, CSS, Java Script etc. You will become the 'office bore' before you know it!

Finally, you will need to think about how you will get your fledgling website out in front of the unsuspecting public i.e. on the Internet. You're unlikely to want to go and buy a domain name and a hosting package from day one, so it's probably best if you check out what your Internet Service Provider offers you for free. Most of the larger companies offer limited facilities to publish your web pages at no cost and this is a great starting point. One thing is for sure. If and when you actually get to the point of publishing your work of art so you can access it via the Web, you will be glowing with pride and fascination. I certainly did and it's quite an addictive feeling. Then the fun begins trying to attract visitors to your website, but that can wait for another day. Good luck!
